Ukranian Landmine Removal

My family has been working with HALO Trust for several years on de-mining projects so this project is an exciting new focus for me. The night of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, my mom and I were staying up late watching a documentary on Russia and Ukraine because school was canceled the next day because of snow. We saw the breaking news about the invasion and quickly switched to watch live coverage.

Our hearts are broken for the people of Ukraine who have struggled so much during this conflict. HALO Trust reports that even if de-mining started now with no new mines added, it would take over 50 years to de-mine Ukraine. We want to help be part of the solution.

Local refugee outreach- summer 2025

I am so grateful to have been able to help the local refugees from Afghanistan. It has truly been an amazing experience- from seeing how they interact, trying the food they make, to doing different types of activities with them. One of the things that I was able to do that I had so much fun doing was when me and my friends were visiting one of the families, and one of the girls our age wanted to teach us how to do their cultural dances. It was so much fun to not only learn it
